About Steam Achievement Manager
Steam Achievement Manager - commonly known as SAM - is a free, lightweight, open-source Windows application for viewing and managing the achievements and statistics associated with supported Steam games. You can use it to correct achievements that failed to unlock, relock achievements for a fresh playthrough, manage achievements that are no longer obtainable normally, inspect game statistics, or test achievement behavior without replaying an entire game.
steamachievementmanager.app is an independent website. Its only goal is to give people a simple, fast way to download the original, unmodified SAM release for Windows, along with clear documentation on what the tool does and how to use it safely. We do not host a modified build and we do not bundle anything extra.
SAM was created by Rick Gibbed and is maintained as an open-source project. If you want to read the source code, review the release history, or report a bug in the application itself, visit the official Steam Achievement Manager repository on GitHub. The project is written primarily in C# and is available under the zlib license.
Steam Achievement Manager is independent third-party software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how steamachievementmanager.app ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit this website. We have deliberately kept the site simple: it exists to help you download Steam Achievement Manager and to explain how to use it.
Information we collect
This is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account or fill in any forms, and we do not collect, store, sell, or rent names, email addresses, or similar personal data through this site. There are no advertisements, no advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this website.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, purely to keep the site running and secure. We do not use this information to identify you and we do not combine it with any other data.
Downloads and external links
When you click a download or external link, you leave steamachievementmanager.app and continue to a third-party service (for example, GitHub, which hosts the SAM release). The download itself is the original, unmodified application - we do not host, modify, or repackage it. Those third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
Disclaimer & Terms of Use
By accessing or using steamachievementmanager.app you agree to this disclaimer and the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
No affiliation
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or by the Steam Achievement Manager project and its maintainers. "Steam", the Steam logo, and related names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation. All product and company names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
"As is" software
Steam Achievement Manager is third-party, open-source software. The application and any documentation on this site are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SAM is a third-party utility and is not part of the Steam client; no third-party tool can provide an unconditional guarantee against account, game, community, or anti-cheat consequences. You use the application entirely at your own risk. Close all games before starting SAM, never use it during an active multiplayer session or alongside a VAC-secured game, review every change before committing it, and consider how edited achievements may be treated by achievement-tracking communities and leaderboards.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, steamachievementmanager.app and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including data loss, account action, or game malfunction - arising from your use of this site, the application, or any linked third-party resource.
External links and downloads
This site links to third-party websites and download hosts (such as GitHub) that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of those external services. Once you leave this site, the terms and privacy policies of those services apply.
Contact
We keep this site intentionally minimal and do not publish a direct email address or phone number. If you need to reach the operator of steamachievementmanager.app - for a correction, a privacy request, or feedback about the website - please use the registrant contact details published in the public WHOIS record for the steamachievementmanager.app domain. A WHOIS lookup (through any domain registrar or WHOIS service) lists the available contact method for the domain owner.
Please note that we are an independent site and cannot provide official Steam support. For a bug in the Steam Achievement Manager application itself, or a feature request, the fastest route is the project's own public development resources rather than this website.
